Kangseo Mizmedi Hospital is the female specialized
general hospital that diagnoses and treats
the whole woman-illness with 66 specialists
in obstetrics and gynecology, internal medicine,
general surgery, pediatrics, urology, family
medicine, radiology, laboratory medicine and
pathology.
Mizmedi Hospital began in 1991 by the chief
director Noh Sung-il as Young-dong Cheil Clinic
and became Kangnam Mizmedi Hospital in 1993,
and the foundation of Kangseo Mizmedi Hospital
eight-years later in 2000 made two-hospital
system. Mizmedi is repeatedly changing and
developing by completing a research center
in March 2004, a kids' center in March 2005,
and its scale is up to 4000 pyeong including
a main building and 3 annexes.
The steady effort of Mizmedi Hospital has
been recognized. For example, it has the first
ISO9001 certification of infertility medical
service in Korea (2004), ISO9001 certification
of medical service(2005), and was selected
as a object hospital of special hospital pilot
project (2005), a medical institution of low
injection prescription rate(2005), a designated
hospital of infertile married couple support
program(2006), a medical institution of low
cesarean section rate(2006,2007) and an excellent
medical institution by the Ministry of Health
and Welfare(2007).
Mizmedi is a hundred-bed scale, but has 80
medical specialists and 600 staffs. It is
the 2nd grade nursing female specialized hospital
which nursing human resources are 100% nurses.
We can expect difficulties in management due
to many human resources and small scale, but
the operating system of treating many outpatients
made Mizmedi record 500,000 outpatients, 30,000
inpatients and 4,500 childbirths last year.
The digital system built from 2003 to 2004
established SAP based ERP(enterprise resource
planning), OCS(ordering communication system),
EMR(electronic medical record) and PACS(picture
archiving and communication system), and Mizmedi
Call-Center of the newest IP technique was
planed to open in march 2008.
Mizmedi Hospital is evaluated to secure a
bridgehead to realize 'the most advanced hospital
and voluntary service’ by building IP call
center and planning to establish IPT(IP Telephony).
