nature of Jeonnam, opened in April, 2004 with
the motto of the nation's first specialized
professional medical center. It has 596 beds
in the building of 8 floors above ground and
one floor below street level on a 10,000-pyeong
green area, and strives for public health
improvement by treating 1,700 outpatients
and 500 inpatients daily.

operates special centers like cancer center,
rehabilitation center, joint center, dementia-degenerative
brain disease center, farmers and fishermen's
health improvement center with the consideration
of regional features. It has 11 professional
special centers of most frequent cancers
(gastrointestinal cancer, hepatobiliary
pancreatic cancer, breast-endocrine cancer,
lung-esophagus cancer, hematological malignancy,
pediatric cancer, brain cancer, urinary
cancer, craniocervical cancer, musculoskeletal
cancer).
In the systematic cooperative treatment
system, all the medical workers attend
cooperative treatment meeting, and survey
patients' condition and various test data

operation center in Jeolla province and
laparoscopic operation room, and it offers
